Real Housewives of New York star Jules Wainstein allegedly called 911 in the early morning of Wednesday, August 10, after getting into an altercation with her estranged husband, Michael.
According to TMZ, Wainstein called the police just before 8 a.m., but since Michael left the reality star’s Manhattan home just minutes before they arrived, no one was arrested.
Last month, the couple made headlines when Michael filed for divorce from Jules after eight years of marriage, and the two became embroiled in a he-said, she-said battle of words.
While Jules, 35, maintained that Michael had had an extramarital affair during their marriage, Michael contended that Jules was a “drama queen” whose antics had gotten out of hand.
Michael’s attorney Mark Jay Heller tells Us that the police have been called to the Wainstein residence so frequently that they’re “very, very cautious” to be “appropriate and fair” when assessing the situation.
“Throughout the tenure of this controversial matrimonial, Michael has expressed that Jules is repeatedly and inappropriately calling the police to their home and making false claims about his conduct,” he tells Us. “And it has gotten to the point where they have indicated to him that if she continues that conduct, they are going to bring charges against her for filing false reports and for wasting the time of these police officers.”
A rep for Jules tells Us that there is no basis for these claims and says that Jules is “not interested in fighting this out in the media as this is a private matter and two children are involved.”
During a Wednesday, August 3, appearance on Watch What Happens Live, host Andy Cohen asked the Bravo newbie to clarify reports that the pair are still living together, despite announcing their plans to part ways.
“I can say that’s true,” Jules replied hesitantly. “Yes, I can [also] confirm that we are getting divorced.”
