Edward Cullen might hate dogs, but Robert Pattinson is a canine lover!
The 25-year-old Breaking Dawn star recently rescued a dog he named Bear from a shelter in Baton Rouge, and he admits his pup has had a "ridiculous" lifestyle so far.
"Just by coincidence – this doesn't happen in my life very often –- but I ended up being on a private jet like three days later," he said Thursday on Live with Regis and Kelly. "It was kind of ridiculous. Literally three days after that, we were going to L.A. and he had his own seat [on the plane]."
Since his first taste of luxurious life, Bear has acclimated quite nicely to Pattinson's globetrotting ways.
"I've smuggled him over borders many times," he admitted.
"You shouldn't say that on the air!" Kelly Ripa warned. "He's lying, he's been drinking," she told the audience.
Pattinson's heroism isn't limited to his chivalrous acts on the silver screen: he saved Bear's life by adopting him just one day before he was scheduled to be euthanized.
"He was in one of those shelters where they don't keep them around for very long," Kristen Stewart's boyfriend explained. "He was on his sixth of seven days."
