Just nine days away from the anxiously-awaited premiere of The Twilight Saga: New Moon, Vanity Fair has released outtakes from star Robert Pattinson's cover photo shoot by renowned photographer Bruce Weber.

In the shot provided to Usmagazine.com, the 23 year-old actor -- a former model, naturally -- pops the collar of a natty brown tweed jacket and gives his best brooding sneer.
In the VF interview, Pattinson tells writer Evgenia Peretz that he longs to go back home to London and get a dog -- to replace his dearly-departed West Highland terrier, Patty, who died last Christmas. The pooch was "like my sister," Pattinson says.

The reluctant idol also praises his fellow Twilight hunk Taylor Lautner, 17, who's dealing with fame better than Pattinson. Lautner is "much better at doing it [than I am]," Pattinson says. "He's completely handling it. I'm just freaking out all the time."

He even gives an ominous warning: "I'm going to end up hitting people and stuff and looking like an idiot."

He's hot in an eccentric way. Hot to me because he's so goofy and down to earth. I thought he was hot in Harry Potter way before he played Edward. OF course not everyone needs to think he's hot...who cares anyways. He will always know that he has way more fans than haters....and seriously there will always be haters....people who love to hate everything other people love...haha...it's just hilarious how ppl love to hate. I love u Rob (and u too Kristen), even if your stinky, even if you walk/run funny with your uneven legs...it doesn't matter to me....Keep strong and keep going!
well, I am not a twightlight fan... I think it's cheesy... BUT I do like Rob. He's unique looking and not the cookie cutter Blue eyed blond/and or highlighted haired airhead/jock type the media seems to love to overhype. I like him and he looks good on a red carpet.
I think Rob is so sexy because it is his uniqueness and he is quirky. There is just something about him that you can't put your finger on that is why we Love him??
This is not my favorite photo of Rob, but I do think that he is so attractive in other photos. He makes a great Edward. To all of you that say that he is ugly, etc, I wonder what comments people would write about your significant other! Give him a freaking break! Rob is good-looking and I'm sure that he doesn't care about your stupid comments anyway.
All I can say is, I will be forever grateful to Catherine Hardwicke for casting both Rob and Kristen to play the leading characters in Twilight. I believe Rob's beauty is brought out by his character, charm and his ability to stay humble throughout all this craziness. Before leaving a silly comment about his looks and what you think of them, remember this..."Beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder".
