Unmasked! Sia may be known for obscuring her face with various wigs and hats, but the 40-year-old songstress stepped out without her famous disguise following a performance on Good Morning America on Friday, January 29.
When the singer-songwriter appeared on the ABC morning show, she hid beneath a multicolored wig and an oversize red bow. Shortly after, she was spotted sans disguise at Newark airport as she prepared to leave New York.
Sia looked naturally gorgeous in a long black peacoat, a simple tee and leggings. Her long blonde hair was pulled back in a topknot.
But as soon as the pop star spotted cameras, the Australian star whipped out a clown mask, which she held up to hide her face.
In an October 2013 op-ed for Billboard titled “My Anti-Fame Manifesto,” Sia noted that she likes to stay out of the spotlight because she hates the idea of fame.
The singer’s trademark bicolor wig and red bow has now been turned into a Bitmoji. The image was released on Saturday, January 30, to promote Sia’s new album, This Is Acting. It’s part of contest where Bitmoji users can add the image to their own personal avatar and share images on social media using the hashtag #SiaThisIsBitmoji for the chance to win a prize pack, including a custom Sia wig, T-shirt and a copy of the album.
