A source confirms GossipCop's report that Jennifer Lopez has signed on to become a Season 10 judge on American Idol.

The news comes the same day that Ellen DeGeneres announced she has left the show after one season.
According to Deadline Hollywood, Lopez -- a 41-year-old mother of twins who previously served as a guest mentor to contestants in 2007 -- snagged the deal thanks to manager Benny Medina, who orchestrated a meeting with Idol producers about a month ago. Negotiations have been ongoing ever since, the site reported late Thursday.

The site also reports that Aerosmith frontman Steven Tyler has been offered the spot to replace Simon Cowell, who left the show last season to headline an American version of The X-Factor.

Fox has not officially announced any of the news.

Oh noooooo.....She is already overexposed at it is. To be listening to her obnoxious accent on the show would definitely not be something I will be looking forward to. Its like nails on a chalkboard. Plus she is a jack of all trades and a master of none. Get her off the show immediately or you will be losing more than what they have already lost.

I think JLo would be a good choice for a judge, because she does have experience in singing and dancing. She is multi-talented. You go girl!
