Most people charged with murder would experience discomfort, but legendary record producer Suge Knight was even more on edge on Tuesday, Feb. 3 when he had a panic attack in the courtroom.
The L.A. Times spoke with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, who revealed Knight, 49, was “taken to the hospital moments after arraignment for an undisclosed medical reason.”
TMZ revealed that the cause of Knight’s hospital visit was a full-fledged panic attack that occurred during his hearing at the L.A. County Superior Court. According to the site, the co-founder of Death Row Records experienced chest pains prior to the attack.
This comes a day after Knight was charged with the murder of his friend Terry Carter, whom he allegedly ran over with his pickup truck on Thursday, Jan. 29 in a hit-and-run. Knight turned himself into police the next day, and pleaded not guilty to the charges.
If convicted he faces up to life in state prison.
