The Force was definitely with Tori Spelling‘s family this weekend! The Craft Wars host, 39, threw a fun Star Wars-themed bash for her oldest son Liam on Saturday, March 16, complete with a Darth Vader cake and R2-D2 pinata.
The fun which Spelling held at her Los Angeles home, also featured a full cast of actors dressed up as the movie cast members — with light sabers too! (Guests were also gifted with Crocs products for the bash as well.)
On hand to help celebrate their older brother’s 6th birthday were Spelling’s three other children with husband Dean McDermott, 46 — Stella, 4, Hattie, 16 months, and Finn, 7 months.
Spelling (who is the daughter of the late television producer Aaron Spelling) recently took to her website to defend her family against rumors that the couple’s marriage is on the rocks.
“This time I had to comment because this time I’m answering not as a celebrity but as a mom,” she wrote on her website, ediTORIal, about Star magazine’s most recent cover. “[Liam’s] proudest achievement so far in his young life is that he is learning to read. Until now, when that pride turned to sorrow thanks to Star magazine.”
The protective mother of four went on to explain that Liam had identified the word “divorce” accompanying a photo of their family members while at the local supermarket, and he “became terrified.”
“I’ve built up a pretty thick skin to the lies and trash talking at this point,” Spelling wrote. “But my children are another story. Keep them out of it!”
