Tracy Morgan was involved in a six-vehicle car accident on Saturday, June 7, which left the comedian in critical condition, and one person dead. The 30 Rock alum's rep updated Us Weekly on his condition on Sunday, June 8.
"While Tracy remains in critical condition, he has been more responsive today, which is an incredibly encouraging sign," Morgan's rep told Us. "He sustained a number of injuries including a broken leg, a broken femur, a broken nose and several broken ribs. He had surgery earlier today on his leg. We expect him to remain in the hospital for several weeks. His family is tremendously overwhelmed and appreciative of the outpouring of love and support from his fans."
The collision took place in Cranbury, New Jersey and involved two tractor trailers, two cars, and one SUV. Fellow comedian James McNair died in the crash.
Us Weekly will continue to bring updates on Morgan's condition as they come in.
