Zelda Williams was back on Twitter in the early hours of Tuesday, Sept. 23, to thank fans and followers for sharing their own stories of loss with her, and giving her hope for the future.

Zelda's dad Robin Williams passed away last month, taking his own life after suffering from severe depression. His daughter Zelda quit Twitter just days after his death, having received abuse from internet trolls, including some horrific pictures claiming to show her father's body.

Earlier this month, the actress made a tentative return to the social networking site, to share a powerful Harvey Fierstein quote about bullying. And now the actress has found the strength to write her own message to well-wishers and thank them for sharing their stories with her.

"I just want to say thank you for all the stories and letters I've been receiving, especially from those who've also lost loved ones," she wrote. "I don't come online often, but reading of others who have dealt with this loss & gone on to live happy, full lives is helpful. Truly."

Zelda, 25, then signed off with a joyful and poignant retweet, sharing a wonderful picture of her dad singing with gusto, alongside Sesame Street's two-headed monster.

"Bearded sing off," Zelda wrote, before adding a smiley face.
