Contoured Cheeks
Glee star Lea Michele gets her glow from YSL Blush Radiance No. 1. ($45, yslbeautyus.com), but if you're not blessed with high cheekbones, you can create the illusion of subtle sculpting by using a bronzer-blush duo. Dust the darker, matte hue in the hallows of cheeks to add depth, says Turnbow, who works with Keri Russell. Then apply a brighter, shimmery shade on the apples and blend.

Deep Plum Lips
"Purple hues work on every skin tone and pair well with the season's richly colored gray, camel and burgundy clothes," says Turnbow. For vibrant, smoochproof color, fill in lips with a pencil the same shade as the lipstick. Apply one coat of color, blot with a tissue and repeat. Dior spokesmodel Charlize Theron preps her lips with Dior Addict Lip Glow ($29, sephora.com).

Blush Pout
Summer's beloved beachy shade is still hot. "To make the neutral lipstick fresh for fall, go for a satin or matte, not glossy, texture," says Turnbow. Chanel spokesmodel Keira Knightley loves to smooth on Chanel Hydramax + Active Lip Care ($45, chanel.com) before her color. Have a fair complexion? Opt for a hue that has a hint of pink. Golden skin tones are better off with a peachy beige.
