You've come a long, long way, Angelina Jolie!
The Oscar-winning actress, humanitarian, mother of six and the white-hot object of Brad Pitt's affection celebrates her 36th birthday on Saturday. (No word yet on where and how Jolie is celebrating with Pitt, 47, and their children Maddox, 9, Pax, 7, and Zahara, 6, Shiloh, 5, and two-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne.)

Back in 1998, the daughter of Oscar-winning Hollywood vet Jon Voight and the late model-actress Marcheline Bertrand was an unknown former teen model who got Hollywood's attention baring her breasts and fierce acting chops in the HBO biopic Gia.

Promoting that flick, Jolie sported a pixie cut -- and a demure pin-stripe outfit! As the years went on and her star rose, Jolie (whose first two marriages to Jonny Lee Miller and Billy Bob Thornton ended in divorce) evolved from an intense, freaky Goth goddess to sexy action heroine to ethereal, super-glam mother.
