Anna Kendrick Gives 'Most Incredible Something Borrowed' to BFF Bride: See Her Bridesmaid Dress

Pretty sure most maids of honor wouldn't be able to top this "something borrowed." Anna Kendrick, who had the honor at her childhood best friend Meg Cerullo's wedding back in August 2015, spoiled the bride with a red carpet-worthy gift: thousands of dollars worth of Harry Kotlar diamond jewelry on loan.

The Trolls star, 30, attended the Maine nuptials just two days after wrapping filming on a new flick, Mike & Dave Need Wedding Dates, in Hawaii and consequently couldn't fulfill many of the typical bridesmaid responsibilities. "Anna felt bad because she's been working nonstop and couldn't be there to do all the traditional duties she wanted to do," a source close to the actress told Us Weekly at the time. "She just wanted to make her friend feel even more special on her wedding day to prove it."

"Special" for Kendrick means a full set of diamond baubles — enough to wear something new to each event. "I wore an incredible pair of earrings, bracelets and rings for the rehearsal dinner, and a different pair of drop earrings and a bracelet for the wedding," Cerullo, who wore a Karen Willis Holmes gown, exclusively told Brides. "After the ceremony, I added a truly incredible necklace to change up my look for the reception. That's got to be the most incredible 'something borrowed' in history."

But that's not the only way Kendrick contributed. She also gave a heartwarming speech. "[My husband's two best men and my maid of honor] all had absolutely amazing speeches that were a flawless balance of funny and sentimental," she explained.

For her part, Kendrick blended in with the other bridesmaids in matching seafoam green Donna Morgan designs. "I wanted the girls to be comfortable in something light that fit the [farm] venue," the bride explained. "I fully admit that none of them will ever wear the dress again, but they looked amazing for the day!"
