I'm loving bold lips -- a major makeup statement of the season -- for a bunch of reasons.

First, check it out on Taylor Swift. A ruby red pout imparts instant glamour, transforming the image of an ingenue into a seriously grown-up glam girl. (FYI, Taylor wore Nars Velvet Matte Lip Pencil in Dragon Girl to the MTV Video Awards!)

Second, while you can wear bold lipcolor with pink blush and lined lids plus tons of mascara, you could also make like a hot French girl and simply swipe the stuff on with an otherwise bare face.
