Red alert! On the heels of the announcement from fashion giant St. John that they're replacing Angelina Jolie as the face of the brand with images of flame-haired model Karen Elson comes these pics of gorgeous Liv Tyler walking out of Neil George Salon in Beverly Hills with newly blushed locks.

Craving a color change? Red can be tricky to do on your own at home. Since natural red hair is made up of a gazillion different pigments, a simple single process in a box can look blocky. To check out how you'd look as a redhead, try a wash-out color depositing shampoo or powder. Then see a pro.

Uber-colorist Lorrie Goddard Clark (she's behind the blondes of Reese Witherspoon, Kate Hudson, Scarlett Johansson and others) took Liv red for a role, but I hope she keeps it for a bit, since the tone works perfectly with her creamy coloring.

She always looks beautiful, but I think her dark hair really made her features stand out more.
