A Teenager Bested Valentino, Oscar de la Renta, and Kate Spade as the Most Googled Fashion Designer of 2014

Bethany Mota at the premiere of "The Best Of Me" on Oct. 7, 2014.
Whoa! Bethany Mota beat out Valentino and Oscar de la Renta as the most Googled fashion designer of 2014.

What in the name of Coco Chanel?!

The teen beauty queen is known for her love of makeup—her cosmetics tutorials, which are peppered with her bubbly personality, have earned her nearly 8 million subscribers to her YouTube page. But in December 2013, after successful partnerships with JCPenney and Forever 21, Mota launched her first official line with Aeropostale.

And let's give the girl props: Mota's clothing for the mall staple was an instant hit—so much so that not only has she continued to design more clothes over the past year, but she's also added bedding and perfume to her lineup at the store.

Then in September 2014, Mota landed a plum gig as Derek Hough's partner on the most recent season of Dancing With the Stars. And one month later, she released her first pop single, "Need You Right Now." (What were you doing at 19?)
