Cindy Crawford on Kids’ Future Modeling Careers: “I Could Be A Stage Mom”

Cindy Crawford on May 15, 2013 in Cannes, France
Cindy Crawford, here at the 2013 Cannes Film Festival, tells Us Weekly about her thoughts on her children's potential modeling careers.

Like Audrey Hepburn and Grace Kelly, some celebrity style crushes never go away. Case in Point: Cindy Crawford, who first stole our hearts in the late '80s on MTV's House of Style and continues to do so thanks to her effortless approach to aging—and her willingness to share her anti-aging beauty secrets.

"Dr. Sebagh, I'm telling you," Crawford, still impossibly stunning at 48, told Us Weekly of her co-founder of Meaningful Beauty skin care line on June 18 in New York City. "He's all about maintenance, which isn't sexy, but the biggest tip from him isn't a product you put on your face. He says to pick a weight that you can maintain and stay there. Don't pick your skinniest weight because that's not maintainable. And don't yo-yo, because that's not good for the elasticity of your skin. Just try to stay within five pounds of your weight."

Even though her all-American looks are just as stunning as when she began modeling three decades ago, it was her two children that caused quite the Internet frenzy when she posted a picture on Instagram of them earlier this month.

While Presley, 14, Kaia, 12—her kids with husband of 15 years Rande Gerberhaven't signed any modeling contracts yet, Crawford is more than happy to show them the ropes. "My son would not be comfortable since huts wants to surf and hang out like a total teenage boy," she told Us. "My daughter likes it a little bit more, but she’s 12."

When and if the time comes, Crawford would relish in a new role: Momager. "I could help guide her and help her navigate," she said. "I had a great experience and managed to avoid a lot of the pitfalls of the fashion business. So if she did want to do it, I could be her stage mom!"

Until then, the former House of Style host names Coco Rocha as one of her favorites. "She’s taken charge of her image," Crawford explains of former The Face star, 25. "They have this whole social media platform that we did not have, and they have that direct relationship with their fans, which is great. I think, for our generation, it wasn’t until House of Style that took us from being two-dimensional to where we could show our personality."
