On the fringe! Nicole Kidman sparkled in a festive black frock at the CMT Music Awards 2016 in Nashville, Tennessee, on Wednesday, June 8.
The Secret in Their Eyes star, 48, who supported her husband, Keith Urban, rocked a black Michael Kors Collection dress with a car wash–pleated skirt on the red carpet. She paired the glittering style with a matching sequined skinny scarf, green nephrite and black jade earrings by Fred Leighton and crisscrossed Giuseppe Zanotti Design heels.
Kidman walked hand-in-hand with Urban, 48, who, in addition to opening the show with Maren Morris and Brett Eldredge, is nominated for Video of the Year and Male Video of the Year. She gushed about his career on the network’s live stream from the red carpet. “He’s been playing since he was 6 and he loves playing,” Kidman said, noting that she has never worried about his performances. “He doesn’t get nervous. He can’t wait to get up there.”
But the “Ripcord” singer, who looked a little more casual than his wife in a graphic tee paired with distressed jeans and a denim jacket, isn’t the only country star she’s a fan of. “All I can say is thank God for Carrie Underwood,” she said a little later on. “It’s so easy to lip-sync to her.”
