Playful, polished Heidi! When it comes to Heidi Klum's fall style, the Project Runway hostess rocks a totally on-trend and, more often than not, unexpected look proving that New York City's streets are a chic catwalk for the busy mom of four. "I dress according to my mood that day," Klum — named a Celebrity Style Crush by Us Weekly readers explains. "I'm not just sophisticated or just rocker or just bohemian all the time."
Though stylist Maryam Malakpour says the 5-foot-9 German stunner has a favorite ensemble ("skinny jeans and a tunic"), Klum isn't afraid to show off her playful side in her New Balance and QVC fashion collections. And when she's not designing, Klum spices up her own wardrobe staples by buying "crazy prints or cuts."
One recent look we love? The Thomas Wylde blouse and Dannijo necklace the model wore with leather pants and chic white heels. "There's a little edge to his pieces — paint splatters or features," Klum — who also loves Preen, Tibi and Valentino — tells Us of why she gravitates to Wylde's items.
A fan of mixing high and low pieces — she recently paired a Zara jacket with Roberto Cavalli's bag and Miu Miu's boots — Klum is never without her high heels, whether she's hanging out in jeans and a tee or dolled up on the red carpet. "I have a lot," says the shoe collector. "I'm a hoarder! I love cool details — studs, a bedazzled heel, a fun shape."
Heels for Klum may be a nonnegotiable fashion must, but often times the model mom will allow kids Leni, Henry, Johan and Lou, to help her get dressed for a night out. Explains the star of her kids' preferred ensembles: "They like me in pretty dresses with my hair down!"
