This summer, stars have been getting bold — with their lipstick, that is.
Both on and off the red carpet, hot pink lips have proven to be one of the hottest makeup trends this season, and it seems like celebs are following the rule "brighter is better."
Evan Rachel Wood attended the Curb Your Enthusiasm Season 8 premiere in NYC on Wednesday sporting glossy fuchsia lips and liner on just her top lids.
While out in Las Vegas on June 25, Nicki Minaj rocked a fluorescent magenta lipstick and lengthy lashes.
And at the MET Gala on May 2, a formerly blonde Emma Stone wore a hot pink lip (NARS Pure Matte Lipstick in Catharge) with black eye liner.
As the three stars prove above, bright lips look best when paired with flawless skin and subtle makeup. Use a light rose blush, neutral shadow and lots of black mascara for contrast — this will keep the focus on your lips. If you're not ready for full-on lipstick, start with a sheer, bright gloss.
