One weekend, back-to-back events, what's a girl to do?
Well, if you're singer/songwriter Keri Hilson, you just throw on some denim. Hilson, 27, rocked a one piece Matthew Williamson denim jumpsuit and Rock 'N Republic heels on May 14 at the Belvedere Pink Grapefruit "In the Pink: A Dinner With Bevy" after party in New York. On May 15, she performed at the "Virginia Stand Up! A Call To Action" benefit concert in a vintage vest by Levi, a pair of Blessed and Cursed shorts, black Golden Goose boots and fingerless Louis Vuitton gloves. The key accessory for both outfits? A beret!
"I'm always trying to find an easy way between funky and functional; something that's comfortable yet stunning," she tells Usmagazine.com of her red carpet weekend looks.
The newest face for cosmetics brand, Avon, Hilson said that she's currently holed up in the studio working with music producers Timbaland and Polo Da Don on her next album, which is slated to be released later this year. This time around, she's speaking out for the ladies.
"I have to speak for women," she gushes to Us. "I really wanted to do an album that went more in that direction. I did it on a couple of occasions like 'Turning Me On', but this time, I'm really, really going there to show women to be confident. No matter what your circumstance you have to push through."
