Keri Hilson
A rising star in the R&B and hip-hop world, Grammy nominated Keri Hilson‘s musical talents sprung early. Born on Dec. 5, 1982 in Decatur, Georgia, the aspiring artist began writing her own music at the age of 12. Her writing debut was the single “Jump” for a female artist on Sony Japan, produced by Anthony Dent, who worked with Destiny’s Child.
Hilson wrote hit songs for Mary J. Blige, Usher and the Pussycat Dolls before releasing her own solo debut album, In A Perfect World, in 2007. Producer/rapper Timbaland helped produce the album as well as mentor the young singer/songwriter. The album brought about numerous best new artist awards and nominations for Hilson.
In Dec. 2010, she released her sophomore album, No Boys Allowed, with inspiring songs of female empowerment.
