Update: Following the story, Lady Gaga confirmed the initials on the ring herself, posting a close-up Instagram of her sparkler on Wednesday, Feb. 18, with the caption: "My favorite part of my engagement ring, Taylor and Lorraine designed "TS" in white diamonds on the band. He always called me by my birth name. Since our very first date. I'm such a happy bride-to-be! I can't stop smiling!!"
Off the market Gaga!
Lady Gaga officially became a soon-to-be-married woman on Valentine's Day when her longtime boyfriend Taylor Kinney popped the question. The pop superstar, 28, informed the world via Instagram on Feb. 16, that the Chicago Fire actor, 33, "gave her his heart on Valentine's Day, and she said YES!" which quickly became one of the most adorable engagement announcements of 2015.
Now that we've caught our breath — the creator of Gaga's mega-sized heart-shaped diamond has also been revealed. Lorraine Schwartz, the mastermind behind Kim Kardashian's whopping 15-carat sparkler and Blake Lively's massive oval diamond engagement ring, designed the Cheek to Cheek singer's enormous heart-shaped rock.
Gaga and Kinney initially met with the celeb-loved jeweler in mid-January to shop around for rings. "Taylor has bought the engagement ring, he paid for it, and Lorraine Schwartz designed it," a source told Us Weekly. "[Gaga] has been a major part of this whole process."
The show-stopping quality doesn't just stop with the sparkler. "The band is shaped with a T and S for their initials," the source revealed.
The happy couple celebrated with her parents at their Manhattan restaurant, Joanne Trattoria. Gaga first stepped out with the stunner on Monday, Feb. 16.
