The Met Costume Institute Gala is fashion's biggest night of the year -- after all, unlike the Oscars, the stars are willing to take some major fashion risks. Unfortunately, their sartorial choices can turn out to be a total disaster.
The night honored the Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty exhibit, and to pay tribute to the late designer, Campbell, 40, wore an ill-fitting white confection with ornate fringe detail. Her prom-queen hairstyle didn't help her cause.
Poor Christina Ricci, took her style cue from her Addams Family character Wednesday in a high-neck Zac Posen gown that made the 31-year-old look like her body was covered in creepy cobwebs.
Freida Pinto, 26, who's normally revered for her style, missed the mark in a menswear-inspired Chanel Haute Couture gown (it had a tie!) that hid her slim figure.
Other celebs who deserve a (dis)honorable mention: Leigton Meester, Rihanna, Fergie, Iman and Christina Hendricks.
