Just days after the royal engagement portraits were released, the office of Prince William says that the two pictures had a bit of retouching before their release.

No major work was needed on the beaming William and Kate Middleton (not surprising). However, a bit of "minimal" retouching occurred to make adjustments of light balance and contrast, the AP reported.

The two shots (one formal and one relaxed) taken by fashion photographer Mario Testino on November 25 were released on Saturday.
