PHOTO: Katie Holmes Films New Movie in Dowdy Bridesmaid Dress!

She once made the boyfriend jeans famous, but Katie Holmes may not be able to do much with a bridesmaid dress!
The 30-year-old actress -- who shot scenes for her new film, The Romantics, in Long Island, New York -- donned a matronly silver-blue satin knee-length gown with beaded embellishment on Tuesday.
Holmes -- who debuted her clothing line with stylist Jeannie Yang, Holmes & Yang in September -- topped off the look with braided hair and gray heels.
In the wedding scene, her character, Laura, serves as a bridesmaid at the wedding of her friends, played by Anna Paquin and Josh Duhamel. (The film also stars Elijah Wood.)
"You'd think she was 35 based on how she carries herself," a source tells the new issue of Us Weekly (on newsstands now).

7Katie has the worst style sense of any celebrity I have ever seen. Photos of her here in NYC she always looks tacky and unstylish. I have no idea how someone could dress so badly as she always does. THIS bridesmaid dress for this movie is an IMPROVEMENT for what I usually see her in. And she does look much older than her age, especially when you see her live, upclose. She could pass for early 50's, without airbrushing, hair, makeup and lighting. Only reason she's getting movie roles is because of her husband. What, she was on a teen show called Dawson's Creek years ago, and has had several bombs for movies. NOT a "star" or an "A-Lister" as they say.
What happened Katie?! You married Tom, had Suri and it looks like you've aged 10 years! It seems as if you NEVER have fun! Being a wife and mother doesn't mean you have to lose your identity. For once, act your age!
wow I'm 39 and find that 35 comment insulting. I would not be caught dead in this outfit. lol.
that dress is a fashion 'DON'T'
She's "matronly" looking anyhow, so the dress suits her. Especially since she has had that short old lady looking haircut she's had for a couple years now. At times, photos I'd see of her, she look in her 50's (not that that's old), but when you're 29, don't think you want to look 20 years older. She needs to grow her hair back out, she'd look much better and her age again.

Katie is classy and lovely. Its the Wardrobe's Dept.fault for this dowdy dress. The rest of the women are wearing it too not just Katie.
