Tyra Banks Covers Face With "Cheap Fishnet Stockings"

Tyra Banks was in a DIY mood for Thursday's Roberto Cavalli at French Vogue’s 90th Anniversary Party in Paris.
The model and TV host, 36, paired her tight black gown with a bizarre accessory: a netted mask pulled tightly over her head.

And Banks didn't get the look through an avant-garde designer. "It's homemade," she Tweeted.

After fans incorrectly guessed that the mask was underwear, a hair net, curtains and a "wig cap," Banks explained, "mask is [some] cheap FISHNET stockings I got n crazy store n Paris! I cut em up n made it y'all."
Banks added: "[I] did my own hair n makeup."

25No, I wouldn't wear this. I would look stupid. But my point was, people were leaving comments about her trying to be like Lady GaGa, and that wasn't why she had the mask on, it wasn't her trying to look or act like anyone, she did it for an event. If someone took my picture in my wedding dress, and people made the comment I was trying to be like Madonna in "Like a virgin" they would be missing the point that it was my wedding day, and at that moment what I had on was appropriate.

Not to be mean, but celebrities seem to lose focus and perspective once the get famous. It's like falling on a broken heel and entering a clowdy state of mind - they get this polished look in front of the world being icons. They work incredibly hard at what they do. They deserve to be able to relax away from the cameras, lack of focus or not. I was going to be an actor, but my acting teacher put my two worst advesaries (one had bloodied my face days before)in front of my in a micro-theater in the class room. I messed up just about every line, and I was the lead actor. I could have been someone in this world, but that day ruined it for me. I doubt I will be remembered for anything at all.
Are all you people stupid? She did it to honor Vogue's 90th anniversary or 90 years of magazine covers or something, she didn't just put this on and go out clubbing, other models made masks as well. AHH, DON'T JUST LOOK AT PICTURES PEOPLE THERE IS USUALLY A STORY TO GO WITH IT.

Tyra will do anything for attention. Oprah retires from her show, so does Tyra, Lady Gaga wears wild outfits, so does Tyra. She is not original, but she is predictable and BORING. Go away, once and for all.....please.

I love Tyra. She cracks me up. I actually think this is striking with her green eyes. Although the first thought was halloween dressed as Pinhead from hellraisers.
