When it comes to fashion, the over-the-top styles that look so cool on the runway don't always translate in real life.
Case in point: Salma Hayek's Balenciaga mid-calf open-toe platform boots with leather straps, silver chain detail and blue and white stripes.

The actress, 44, first stepped out in the shoes back in April last year, where she paired them with a plain black t-shirt and skirt at a charity event in New York.
She must really like the heels, which cost almost $6,000 and are no longer available, since she wore them again with a navy dress while shopping in Beverly Hills on Tuesday.

We're hoping that Hayek got a discount on the super pricey shoes, since she's married to French billionaire Francois-Henri Pinault, the CEO of The Gucci Group, which owns Gucci, Bottega Veneta, Yves Saint Laurent and Balenciaga.
