Fantastic beasts may have been a part of Harry Potter’s world, but will he end up inhabiting theirs? Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe opened up about J.K. Rowling and director David Yates’ new project at the Oct. 20 London premiere of his new film Horns.
The famed British author, 49, and Yates, 50, who directed the final four Potter films, have signed on to the new Warner Brothers trilogy, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, based off of Rowling’s Potter textbook of the same name.
“Good luck to ‘em,” Radcliffe, 25, said on the red carpet at the premiere. “At the moment the thought of signing on to another three would be crazy to me. It’s a lot to take on again so soon after he’s finished [Potter].”
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 was released in 2011, and the first installment of this new spin-off is set for a November 2016 premiere.
Fantastic Beasts is set 70 years prior to Harry’s story, but will the boy wizard make an appearance in a flash-forward? Watch the clip to find out Radcliffe’s thoughts on the matter!
