Chelsea Handler and Jay Leno have some unusual dating advice for Chelsea Lately staff writer Sarah Colonna. In the March 4 episode of E!’s semi-scripted series After Lately, the Life As I Blow It gets some unsolicited tips from her 38-year-old boss and the 62-year-old Tonight Show host.
Before her first date with Miami Marlins outfielder Giancarlo Stanton, Handler and Leno ask Colonna why she’s nervous to spend some one-on-one time with the professional baseball player. “What’s the problem?” Leno asks. “Premature ejaculation?”
“No, that’s your problem,” Handler quips. “Don’t project, okay?”
As Colonna attempts to explain that she and Stanton have been “talking a few weeks,” Handler cuts her off. “Can I just tell you something, because I’ve been in the dating situation, or pool, more recently than Sassafras over here . . . You can take him away for the weekend, show him that you actually have a career of your own, that you’re not going to rely on him.”
“Let him see that you’re easy,” Leno suggests, to which Colonna replies, “Okay. I mean, I’ve told him that.”
