Breaking News: Ali Is the New Bachelorette!

As Us Weekly has reported, Ali Fedotowsky has been named the star of the new season of The Bachelorette.
The announcement was made during Monday night's Bachelor finale.
"I'm so excited!" she told host Chris Harrison. "I am so thrilled and honored and grateful. I just can't believe it."
Told that America has fallen for her, she replied, "I feel so blessed."
When she was first approached to do the show, she said she felt "scared. I realize I am not going to let my fear dictate my life anymore. I want to fall in love, have kids, all of that. I am not going to make the same mistake I made before."

The 25-year-old Fedotowsky -- a San Francisco-based advertising accounts manager for Facebook -- was one of Bachelor Jake Pavelka's frontrunners until she abruptly left the show to save her job.
On the recent Women Tell All special, she expressed regret for her decision.
"If I could go back and do it differently, I would," she said, adding: "On my death bed, I don't want to look back and say I didn't love enough ... If I knew what I know now, would I chose love over work? Yes."

She previously told E! being the star of The Bachelorette would be "so exciting and wonderful."

The only downfall?
"I'd have a really difficult time and I'd have to have some really deep conversations to go for anyone," she said. "I don't know how good I would be because I might just be drilling everyone."

143Can not believe they made Ali the next Bachelorette! It should be Gia or Tenley they deserve it soo much more. Last season Ali left planning to call so thatt she could make sure she got a spot in the finale...I will watch because I have never missed an episode, but it should NOT be Ali! They need to make a last minute repacement!

love Ali great choice she is a darling girl and very down to earth and believeable. She was my first choice for Jake but it all turned out for the best because I think she is to good for Jake. Best of luck to you Ali I hope you find a wonderful guy.
I like her! I think she will have a chance to discover what she really wants out of life. Isn't that what life is about, second chances? Go AlI, don't pay attention to people. You do your thing!
I have to agree with what was said by "whinyalifanless" since it sums up the situation the best. I also think that this was the opportunity for this network to pick a fresh bachelorette and not go along with the fan base of only a fraction of viewers that are Ali's. Those are only the ones that constantly sit on the internet and facebook and all those places to keep discards brought back on and being rehashed boringly. There are thousands of viewers (and I know of many) that don't even bother to voice their opinions as you and I do.
I loved Ali at first, I thought she was true to herself and real. However, I learned how fake she really was with all her bad-mouthing. She is still a great girl, I just don't think she will be right for the show.
I think Ali is going to be terrible I think the chances of her picking work over love are probably pretty good considering it seems to be a pattern in her life. I agree with the post below me she should not be rewarded for her bad behavoir on the previous season. I think this would be a good time for them to start fresh with a new girl who has never appeared on the show
I cannot believe that Ali is going to be the next Bachlorette!!!!!! She couldn't stay on the Bachelor, for fear of losing her job, but she can do a full season of Bachlorette? Wow! why does she get a second chance when she was the one who gave up her first chance. there are so many other worthy women out there. I hate when they bring back previous people. New seasons should have new people. Besides, she, of all people should not be rewarded for all of her bad mouthing from last season.
First of all I am so excited that Ali is the new bachlorette :) She seemed to be the most real out of all of the other women. So what she left the show becuase of her job... obviously she wants to find love more then working at her job.. its a JOB for crying out loud people can always find a new one. Why not give her a chance to find love like other people in this world? If you don't like her then don't watch the show but don't keep bad mouthing a woman that would take her job first over a man and then change her mind. People are allowed to do that you know. SO get off of your high horses and leave her alone.

If you don't like her, do not watch. There are more people like her outthere than the ones in this blog! She was the honest and real one in the show, the rest of them are fake specially Vienna!!!!! Let see how long Jake can figure out his mistate. That wild party animal and fame digger can not turn her head overnight !
You know i`ve always watch both the bachelor & bachelorette and i`m sure the show has recieved great reviews until now. Ali, who picked her the guy you fired.The 25 men who are picked for the show will be crossing there fingers hoping they don`t get a rose. The show will toilet for sure this season .It`s not to late to call Gia,taping has not started yet.

gia definitely should have been the next bachelorette. i liked ali a lot until she turned into a constant sh!t talker.. tenley would have been great, but i honestly don't think she would even want to take on the stress of publicly dating so many guys at once.. not her style if you know what i mean lol. (not hating either. i love her) gia would have been perfect though :/ badddd call, ABC!

I am so glad the next Bachelorette is going to be Ali. This way I will have NO DESIRE to watch.Ali showed who she was, a spoiled, self absorbed bully who thought she was the queen of the house.
I think this is a great decision! Ali was my pick for Jake and I really hated to see her leave the show. She was wasn't mean at all, it's called being honest. And I'm pretty sure in the Women Tell All she apologized for being mean to Vienna. I think she is such a sweet girl and I really hope she finds the perfect man for her this time around! I definately will watch this season!!!
