One thing to note when watching Monday’s Bachelorette premiere: The mansion seen on TV is actually home to a family with small children in between filming! “There’s actually a family that lives there, and they will move out, the show films, and they’ll move back in,” Andy Baldwin‘s jilted Bachelorette Peyton Wright Lambton, told Us. “I took a tour one day and the producer was like, ‘That’s the little girl’s room there.'”

Erica Rose, who competed on both season 9 of The Bachelor and seasons 2 and 3 of Bachelor Pad, isn’t worried that her casts are invading a family’s space while filming, but instead worries about when they move back in after the final rose. “I hope they sanitize that place after the season ends, because there is a lot of hooking up that goes on — especially on Bachelor Pad,” she revealed.

Now married to Baldwin’s ex, Wright, Chris Lambton isn’t shy about opening up about his lack of connection with season 6 bachelorette Ali Fedotowsky. But it wasn’t just that they didn’t feel sparks — they really didn’t have time to let them develop! In fact, Lambton told Us his “surprise” dismissal just prior to Roberto Martinez proposing to Fedotowsky wasn’t so unexpected.

“Ali and I just never had a connection. When you spend a few hours a day two days a week with someone [on dates], it’s hard. At the rose ceremony, I’d say ‘Hi, I’m Chris.’ Like, ‘I think you should give me a rose. We haven’t hung out yet, but we’re both from Massachusetts so I think we’d get along,” Lambton recalled. The Cape Cod landscaper pleaded behind the scenes with ABC production staff to let him leave the series, but when they wouldn’t budge, he appealed to Fedotowsky herself.

“We weren’t in love, but we were in like. We both knew that I was kind of a forced second place,” he said. “I wrote [her] a note that I wanted to leave, but couldn’t leave because Frank [Neuschaefer] had just left. [Producers] said I had to stay, and that’s why at the end, Ali didn’t try to see if I was going to propose, she sent me home. She knew I wasn’t going to do it anyway.”
