So much swag! The brand-new posters for the upcoming Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice movie were revealed by director Zack Snyder on Sunday, April 19, featuring Ben Affleck and Henry Cavill in costume and out for vengeance — for each other.
The first image tweeted by Snyder shows Cavill proudly wearing Superman's trademark cape. The actor's handsome features and sculpted face are a raging shade of red, while his eyes are completely covered by a Batman graphic.
The other poster spotlights Affleck, wearing the Caped Crusader's wing-tipped mask and full-armored batsuit. The Oscar winner appears brooding and serious, although the full extent of Batman's rage remains unknown as a blazing red Superman emblem covers his eyes.
Snyder's latest tease comes several days after the first official teaser trailer for the film leaked last Thursday, April 16. On Friday, Snyder and the studios released the leaked trailer in its high-quality form for all to enjoy. The preview promises a world of corruption and chaos.
"We as a population on this planet have been looking for a savior," one commentator says in the clip, while another adds that "Human beings have a horrible track record of following people with great power."
Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice will be released on Mar. 25, 2016.
