Bravo Confirms Jill, Alex, Cindy, Kelly Fired From Real Housewives of NY

The worst-kept secret in reality TV is finally out and absolutely confirmed.
As previously reported by Us Weekly, Bravo has fired Alex McCord, Jill Zarin, Kelly Bensimon and Cindy Barshop from the Real Housewives of New York.

The cable network told Us Weekly in a statement: "Ramona Singer, Sonja Morgan and LuAnn DeLesseps will be returning for season five of The Real Housewives of New York City. We've had a fabulous run with all the ladies and appreciate them sharing their lives with our viewers. It is a friendly departure among the other ladies and we continue to have ongoing discussions with them.
Brooklynite McCord, 37, Tweeted the news as well late Saturday. "Nothing was decided until today, but as of tonight a decision has been reached. [Husband] SimonvanKempen & I are leaving #RHONY, sadly but amicably."

"Alex and I are sad that it's come to this," Simon Van Kempen told The Hollywood Reporter. "We had a great four years. We don't intend for this to be the final time you'll see us on television. Everything happens for a reason. We are not happy, we're not sad. It is what it is. We thank our fans. We have tremendous, tremendous outpouring of support...We're not going away. We remain happy and long may that continue."

A rep for Zarin, 47, told THR: ""Jill is out of town with her husband Bobby and they are visiting her daughter Ally at college for family weekend so she is not speaking with the press. I can tell you that she is very happy and extremely busy with the national launch of her shapewear line Skweez Couture by Jill Zarin which will debut at Lord and Taylor stores across the country this month and then roll out at other national retailers in the coming months. Jill is humbled by the extraordinary amount of media interest in her response and looks forward to personally opening up about all of this very soon and announcing some exciting new projects.

"I have 100 percent faith in every girl that is on the show," returning housewife Sonja Morgan told Us on Thursday. "We didn't get here for any reason except we are all very talented and have a lot to share on screen...I'm sure that everybody has plans. I'm not worried."

49I agree with the prvious comments about luanne. No countess in England would be telling someone so rudely to be quiet and get back in your cabinet. She is vile. Wish they had sacked her. She moaned that Alex should not be defending Ramona, and yet she always stuck her nose in when Bethany wanted to sort with Jill and Ramona with Jill. So full of herself. However, can't wait for the next series to start. Anyone know when that will be?
I have been watching RHONY from the UK, I will be so sorry to see Alex go, she was the most honest & genuine of the housewife's yet she was constantly put down & belittled by Luann, Gill & Kelly by their constant,arrogant & patronizing bullying, Simon on the other hand just wanted to steel Alex's limelight, he is a little weird & I wouldn't trust him Bravo should cut him out but not Alex. Luann think's she is better than all the others & is so condescending & arrogant, I think she needs to read a book on manners herself before she criticize's the other ladies. Kelly is away with the fairies, she does not make any sense when she is speaking to the others & she takes it upon herself to defend, Gill & Luann by butting in & then speaking mambo jumbo to Romona, Sonia & Alex, she is very odd. Gill is two faced & changes her words & friends to suit her self, she lost Bethany & Romona as friend's & then wanted to make up only when it suited her because she realized she had lost two good friends & was missing out on things. Cindy was a waste of airtime, very dull, very rude &very moody, she treated her children more like accessory items, she couldn't even cope when she met her parents for lunch with only one of the children, I was appalled that for a mother to have to phone for help & take the child during lunch because she could not cope was awful. She was extremely rude when she went to Sonia's for brunch, if she was so desperate to conduct business, then she should have put Sonia off & re- arranged the date, not a nice lady at all, glad to see the back of her. Sonia is so lovely & honest, her & Remonas friendship is great, they are fun together & genuine. Remona is FAB honest, loyal & says things to your face not behind your back. Thank goodness Romona & Sonia are coming back, shame Alex is not, Bravo should re think, Luann dislike her more each episode!

I have been watching RHONY from the Uk, the ladies have just got back from their Morocco trip. I am shocked to discover that Bravo have axed Alex from season 5. When due to her ungracious, ignorant, arogant, spiteful and UNLADYLIKE behaviour in both series 3 & 4 the countless Luann should have been the One they dismissed... What a totally dispicable individual. Kelly was just someone to be pitied for being a fruitloop. Cindy was as dull as dishwater, however, Except for Jills behaviour towards Bethany (which i feel was totally constucted & exacerbated By luann) I feel there was a lot of genuine feelings displayed throughout the show. Fingers crossed Luann will be axed next, or maybe Ramona can slap her down a little!!
I will wathc your show without JILL but i don't like LuAnn as much jill. they both think they are Angelina Jolie
We are just getting the Morocco trip in Australia. WOW, LuAnn, great digs, fantastic outings and real treats for the Housewives . Its a shame that your arrogance and pretentiousness didn't allow you to be the LADY you always STATE you are. You were rude, intolerant and ungracious, both in Morocco and NYC with Alex. Watch the tape. Rarely does television agitate me. Your behaviour was appalling. Yes in Australia we have a U in behaviour. I believe the U is there as a reminder to look inside oursleves (u the individual) before you speak or act, ie BEHAVIOR. ALEX I WILL MISS YOU
I love Alex and I'm gutted she's leaving, and even though I don't like Jill all that much as she's a bit of a hypocrite, I'm still sad to see her go, because she brought most of the drama to the house with her wicked ways... however I'll be so glad to see the back of Kelly, she was the most annoying disgusting housewife of all the housewives, she would say something about someone then turn it around to make them out to be bad one... she lied constantly and she was completely crazy... I'm convinced she needs psychiatric help as she is on a different planet and half the time she doesn't even know what she's saying... she was not fun to watch and I will be so glad to see the back of her, I'm sorry if that's harsh but it's truly how i feel.... but even without these women I'll defo still be watching...

I would have fired them all. I could barely stand watching the show last season with all of the bickering and screeching going on. Made my head hurt. Now if they would get the Jersey show straightened out. Tired of self righteous fighting going on there too. There just isn't a need for all of this fighting and talking over each other to make a show.
nope, won't watch. Can't tolerate Ramona or Sonja. Love the Countess, But I will pick up her book instead. I will miss Jill a whole lot

I dislike it when Facebook makes changes but these changes I am very happy about. I'm just wondering how the Countess and Ramona made the cut for next season?!
I brag to friends that I watch RHONY mostly because these are real women with real careers unlike most of the other Real Housewives shows. I am grateful that Kelly is gone. She was gettting tedious to watch. I won't miss Simon. But I will miss Alex. And as for Jill, I truly miss Jill when she and Bethany were friends. That was genuine. Wish LuAnne had shown some heart that year and not been so devisive. And dear Ramona - I love that girl. She tries so to help everyone find happiness!!

Oh my, wonder what Bravo is thinking. As some have said they left the crazy ones and took out the real one. You have left Ramon the wino and Sonya the over sexed old lady, LuAnn I can accept. But, I guess that is what is good reality the nut jobs. I love the real reality of Jill, Kelly and Cindy. I love the all the housewives shows, but am greatly disappointed in Bravo on this move. I watch these to see how rich, successful beautiful women are real, please keep some of the real people in the show. The crazies are fun to watch, but not enough to follow. Good luck to Jill, Kelly and Cindy I will miss you on the show.
Luann is the one who should have gone with her girlfriends Jill and Kelly. Now that Alex has finally stood up for herself she gets fired?! Simon could have had less airtime. I'll watch the first show of the new season before I decide whether or not I'll defect!
Might just as well cancel the show now as it will be dull without Alex and her quirky husband. Sonja, LuAnn, Jill, Kelly and Cindy needed to go, so therefore, there is nothing left for this show.
