Bristol Palin Lands TV Gig!

Teen mom Bristol Palin is headed to the small screen.
She will play herself on an upcoming episode of ABC Family's The Secret Life of the American Teenager, it was announced Tuesday. She will appear as one of Amy's (Shailene Woodley) friends at a music program for teen mothers. She shoots the show in Los Angeles and it will air in the summer.

"I am thrilled to be on this show and to be a part of a program that educates teens and young adults about the consequences of teen pregnancy," Palin, 19, tells UsMagazine.com in a statement.

Adds executive producer Brenda Hampton: "Bristol Palin is the most famous teenage mother in America. We're thrilled to have her join us, and I think she will bring additional attention to the issues facing teen parents that we've been exploring for a couple of seasons now."

I don't disagree that Chelsea Clinton is smart. I think she seems like a great person to be honest with you. I am just saying if it weren't for her last name I seriously doubt she would have landed the 6 figure job that she did. I have actually been attempting (unsuccessfully, I admit) to show that ALL people with marginal fame DO tend to capitalize on it. She lives a life of privilege, fame and abundant money-making opportunities... what will teenagers learn from that? It's a move that will bring attention to the show and Bristol's career, but as far as convincing teenagers to avoid getting pregnant by being abstinent, it fails.

I think its a good idea for her to be on the show-shes not trying to "glorify" being a Mother so young-shes trying to send a message to kids today -all they think about is having a baby and getting free medical care ,food stamps and hanging out with other babys mamas or whatever they call themselves-she is a beautiful young woman-so she got pregnant-look at all the millions of others who have also-least this way she is WORKING for a paycheck
