Carrie Underwood to Star on How I Met Your Mother
America knows Carrie Underwood can sing, and will soon find out if she can act, too!
The newly-engaged season five American Idol champ is set to make her acting debut on CBS' How I Met Your Mother in an episode to air in March, a rep for the network confirms to UsMagazine.com.
Underwood, 26, will take on the role of pharmaceutical sales rep Tiffany, who catches the eye of Josh Radnor's lovelorn character Ted. Her episode will air in March, though no official airdate has been set.
While Radnor's character may not be lucky in love, his soon-to-be costar is singing a different tune as she celebrates her late December engagement to Ottawa Senators hockey player Mike Fisher.
"Our schedules don't provide us too much time to get married and have time to really enjoy being married," the busy bride-to-be blogged after Fisher popped the question. "We're trying to really work it out and move some stuff around."
Now in its fifth season, HIMYM will air its 100th episode on Monday, welcoming guests Rachel Bilson, Tim Gunn and Stacy Keibler to the fold as the cast (including Neil Patrick Harris) debuts a high-anticipated song-and-dance number in the episodes final minutes.
