Exclusive: Chace Crawford Gives Taylor Swift Post-VMA "Pep Talk"

Gossip Girl star Chace Crawford gave Taylor Swift a "pep talk" the day after she was ambushed at the MTV VMAs by Kanye West, a source tells Usmagazine.com.
At the Kings of Leon concert in NYC Monday night, Crawford, 24, spotted Swift and gave her a huge hug.
"I'm so proud of you," he told Swift, 19. "Don't let anyone ever take your spotlight ever again."

Swift thanked Crawford, who, the source says, is "like an older brother type and is very protective over her" (although Swift once told Your Prom magazine Crawford was her "celeb dream date" for prom).
The new issue of Us Weekly, on stands today, also includes details on how Swift's pals helped her bounce back from the VMA incident.

After the show, she went to dinner at Del Frisco's at midnight to meet a group and received a standing ovation, an insider says.
"Taylor's friends ordered her favorite dish, macaroni and cheese, to cheer her up," the source adds. "And nobody brought up Kanye West."

Kanye told the truth in a tacky way, but it was the truth. If the truth is embarrassing then don't live the lie. She should have acknowledged the truth herself: Beyonce should have two awards, not one, and this is coming from someone who really hates Beyonce (as like Taylor, her music is just bubble gum pop with no real substance). I'm really sick of the poor little girl being picked on by the big bag wolf thing. Kanye has apologized multiple times. Once was enough! Props to him for occasionally making music with meaning.
Taylor handled that as a class act. Much more than I can say for Kanye. He seems to have a need to be the center of attention. That isn't being passionate. That is being selfish.Seems like he has a lot of unresolved issues.
I never really liked Kanye West. He's an awful person and this incident just proves that fact.

I'm sick of hearing about this, poor girl, but worse things have happened to people. Taylor is young, and will certainly learn from this experience, props how she handled it with such grace. AND... Mr. C3 (Chase) is the BEST, and such a nice guy, and I wouldn't expect anything less from him; he is truly a class act, and the most down to earth person.

Beyonce only solidified the class she possesses. Bringing Taylor back out was (not to sound corny) but really touching and just shows that there are good people out there.

President Obama was asked about it because his girls are fans of Taylor Swift. I don't believe she is milking anything it is the media that will NOT drop it. I'm sure she is tired of being asked about it and having to explain everything over and over. TEAM TAYLOR
To the previous person, if you actually read the news properly, President Obama only commented on this because a reporter asked him about it -- and it just goes to show he doesn't exist in a little bubble, oblivious to things that are being discussed. Show that you have a brain and actually read the news next time.
i agree that kanye is a douche, but this story got to president obama and he commented that kanye's a "jackass." Like this is pathetic that our president is even interested in this stupid little feud. shouldnt he be like running our country and taking care of this economic mess????

Taylor Swift said she forgave him over the phone. I think she wants it to be over so everyone can move on. She is a classy and talented young lady. She's not "eating up the sympathy." If the media wants to talk about it repeatedly, it's really not her fault.
