Chelsea Clinton Debuts on NBC's Rock Center
Chelsea Clinton's putting her famous last name to good use!
The former First Daughter debuted on NBC's Rock Center Monday. During the broadcast, former President Bill Clinton and current Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton's 31-year-old daughter returned to her home state of Arkansas to do a story about a woman who runs a program for disadvantaged children.
Chelsea is part of Rock Center's "Making a Difference Series." The show's host Brian Williams introduced Chelsea by saying she "wants to tell stories."
Last month, Chelsea explained that her late grandmother, Dorothy Rodham, inspired her to take on this new career. "I hope telling stories through 'Making a Difference' - as in my academic work and non profit work - will help me to live my grandmother's adage of 'Life is not about what happens to you, but about what you do with what happens to you,'" she explained in a statement.
But Chelsea, who married Marc Mezvinsky in August 2010, won't be raking in the big bucks. The majority of her salary will be donated to the Clinton Foundation and the George Washington Hospital.
