Paula Abdul won't be starring on a reboot of Star Search, a source confirms to UsMagazine.com.

But the show may still air on ABC this summer without the former American Idol judge, 47, the insider says.
Abdul -- who announced she was leaving Idol last August -- was rumored to be a judge and host on the remake of the talent show. The original series featured one of Britney Spears' first televised performances in 1992.

She played coy on the rumors earlier this week.
