Thanks but no thanks, DWTS. Not every celeb dreams of having a shot at Mirrorball glory. Prior to the Dancing With the Stars season 18 cast announcement on Tuesday, March 4, several other big names were being considered for the show — but they turned it down, a source reveals in the new issue of Us Weekly.

Pop star Austin Mahone, for example, said "no" to the ABC hit because "he wasn't able to do it with his current schedule," the insider says. Martha Stewart, Caroline Rhea, Glee actress (and former Beyonce backup dancer) Heather Morris also rejected the opportunity, as did country singers Clint Black and Travis Tritt.

Plenty of other stars were happy to take their place, though. As previously reported, NeNe Leakes, Candace Cameron Bure, Drew Carey, Danica McKellar, and Olympic ice dancers Meryl Davis and Charlie White are among the new contestants for the upcoming season, which debuts Monday, March 17, at 8 p.m. (See the full cast list here.)

There will also be a new twist this cycle. "This season, America will be given the power to vote and change celebrities and professional dance pairings," DWTS pro Derek Hough revealed on Good Morning America. "This new rule will affect all couples as they will be required to switch partners at a point in the season. Never before have dance partnerships been split up during the course of competition."
