After four years as a judge on America's Got Talent, the star, 57, is moving on.

"David's been an integral part of the success of America's Got Talent, and we are sad to see him go," NBC said in a statement.
The star, who had been a judge on the reality competition series alongside Piers Morgan and Sharon Osbourne, is reportedly leaving to start his own television show.

What unkind comments. This is a good clean showand lots of fun. I loved the Hoff on it Howie Mandel is no Hoff but he seems to enjoy the show. His contributions are fair handed and he and Piers seem to have the right amount of animosity to make things interesting without being cruel.
oh please! no one really knows whats going on with this man other than himself. the tabloids report sensationalism & use him & his family to sell magazines. as for his daughter filming him drunk... what child would do this? He who is without sin cast the 1st stone. No one can say that
I heard Piers Morgan used his influence with Simon Cowell, to force Hasselhoff off the show as David had a much larger penis than him, which he discovered at a rather hot and steamy Hollywood Party (essentially an orgy) The Hoff had advertised a vacuum penis pump back in the 80's and is now packing a rather huge trouser snake. Good Luck Knight Rider! U will need it. It's amazing these people have the easiest jobs and the hunger for MORE MONEY is never ending. Why do these people who keep screwing up get all these deal and "regular" people who screw up are tossed on the streets like they are garbage? There are no real movie stars anymore--except Clint Eastwood, Meryl Streep, and a few others.
He'll be on Celebrity Rehab. That's the only show that will take him.
I can't see how this is a wise career move unless it is judging another talent show WITH some bigger names. If he was doing something of that nature w/ Paula Abdul, then I see how her ratings might make his show a success. BUT, of course no network is going to give HIM a shoe when they could give Paul one and haven't, or at least she hasn't accepted. He is crazy to quit a, for the moment anyway, a sure thing. Especially considering he needs to address some personal issues first. Wish him all the best with that.

Im thinking maybe Simon wants Paula to replace him. This is Simons show after all and he loves Paula and always calls her TV Gold. If she replaces him I will start to watch this show
Nobody in their right mind would hire him or give him his own show, it would be too risky. He needs serious help for his addiction!
The only place a show of his would be a hit is in Germany. They think he is a great singer but in the USA he is a joke.
He did not leave. He was fired. The producers were getting sick and tired of his drunken, violent behavior on the set.
Leaving to start his own show? He should be leaving to go to rehab before he dies of alcohol poisoning.
