Dancing questions only, please! Dancing With the Stars co-host Erin Andrews went in for the kill during last night's April 7 episode, asking partners Peta Murgatroyd and James Maslow if they are dating in real-life. The questioning didn't go over so well, however, as the pair kept mum about their status, and the ballroom briefly experienced an awkward silence.
"It sounds like we have a little bit of talking to do," Andrews, 35, said to the twosome. "Can I just say this? Can you tell us you're dating? I want a Dancing With the Stars baby."
"You're adorable!" she added. "Come on, who doesn't want this?" (In the episode, the Big Time Rush singer, 23, was paired up with professional dancer Cheryl Burke for a one-time only partner switch-up week. Murgatroyd embraced the pair after their dance, but quickly appeared embarrassed when the sports anchor butted in about their personal lives.)
"Oh my God," Murgatroyd replied, as she wiped her brow. Maslow added: "You can't have a baby while you're dancing, alright? So that's not gonna happen."
Romance rumors first began when the Australian dancer, 27, and Maslow were paired together in the show's first week. A then-shocked Murgatroyd gave a brief recap of their relationship.
"I actually met James once before for dinner," a blushing Murgatroyd said in a previous pre-tape package. "We kind of hit it off." (In the video, a photograph of the stars during their L.A. dinner was shown, dated Feb. 4.)
"I thought he was a good looking guy and then he went away on tour for two weeks and I didn't see him until he walked into the studio," she continued. However, when producers asked Murgatroyd if something intimate happened between the two of them? Silence.
"We're keeping things professional right now," Maslow added at the time. "Would I take her on another date? Yeah, she's a really cool girl. But right now we are both here for the same reason -- we want to win."
