Gayle King: Why I Turned Down DWTS Three Times

Gayle King won't be shaking it for the cameras any time soon.

When UsMagazine.com caught up with Oprah Winfrey's BFF at Huffington Post's Game Changers event in NYC Thursday, the 55-year-old told Us she's been asked to compete on Dancing With the Stars three times -- but she repeatedly turned them down!

"I think it's good to keep my public humiliation to a minimum," she explained. "I would never want to embarrass my children ever...or myself! I can't dance."

Instead, the O Magazine editor says she's happy to watch from the sidelines as she roots for Season 11's remaining contestants.

"I like Jennifer Grey, but I also like that guy Kyle [Massey]," she told Us. "I didn't know him, but he has personality and moves."

I thought the show was called Dancing With The Stars not Dancing With Anybody with everyday people. They should not have had Britol Palin on the show. She is making money because she is just because unwed teenage mother speaking against sex. It's all about money that's all her family is after.

I don't believe it. Just because she knows Oprah doesn't mean she's a "star" herself. And Gayle spends too much time with Oprah; doesn't she have a life of her own? Where does Stedman fit in anymore? Gayle seems like a leech.

She turned them down 3 times???? I seriously doubt it. Truth is, no one would want to see her on the show. Besides, isn't it for celebrities? The only reason anyone knows about her is because she is Oprah's best friend. Other than that, I don't see anything reason anyone cares to know about her.
