Jon Gosselin: I'll Forever Have "Guilt" for Putting My Kids on TV

Jon Gosselin has lost another attempt to get his eight children off television.
After a judge shot down his request this week, he turned to Twitter to vent:
"As you may or may not be aware, I have been working for some time to remove my children from television. I do not believe being on TV is beneficial to any of them. They are no longer toddlers that are oblivious to what is going on around them. They are now six and ten, in school and desperately in need of a normal life.

"Each of them has experienced negative effects of having their lives so public. Some are struggling with emotional and/or behavioral issues. My goal for my children is for them to have a normal childhood, and gain back their much deserved privacy. This is not about money, this is about my children. No amount of money is worth the price my children are paying. You cannot put a price on childhood. Money comes and goes, but you only have one childhood.

"For those questions about money and support, I can say I am supporting my children to the best of my ability. All parties involved know the truth about this. I am and have been actively seeking employment. I have been barred from accepting entertainment deals that would generate income for my family due to contractual obligations. I am also actively looking for a job outside of the entertainment industry and so far, have not secured a position. In the mean time, I have been focusing on spending time with my children and providing a safe, stable, normal and private environment for them!

"On October 13, 2010, I went to court to act in the best interest of my children- to remove them from television. The judge respectfully denied my plea, and granted filming rights to their mother. I honor the judge’s decision, but I do not support it. I will not stop fighting to remove my children from television. It is not a child’s job to support themselves, or a lifestyle, they need to be kids. I would like to apologize to my friends, family, and especially my children for not taking a stand earlier in my life and not questioning my decisions to have our lives documented and displayed. I will have to answer to my children for the rest of my life. I will have to live with this guilt the rest of my life. I am truly sorry!"

Perhaps it would be more honest to feel guilty for cheating on their mother and slamming her in public. Perhaps I would believe John if he got a job. It does not have to be a glamorous job, just one that allows him to add to the cost of raising the eight children he 'says' he is so concerned about.
Children are resilient. The sooner you can be a father and explain to them most things A-Z as it pertains to the reality show and what you can about the divorce, the guilt will hopefully go away. If Kate and you can agree to the proper tutelage as far as the little one's well being, in and away from the lights; the children have a greater chance at normalcy. Your children are being caught in the crosshairs and shrapnel from both you and Kate. Lighten up and than maybe you guys can grow up, not necessarily in that order.

They are just 6 little moneymakers. The parents are supposed to support the children, not vice versa. Get a clue Jon. Look up the definition of a Father and start being one. The Gosselin tabloid frenzy started BECAUSE of Jon's actions and behavior in 2009. Beside their parents divorce, Jon's behavior and actions are the reason his children have issues! My memory is not short. TLC made public why Jon stopped show. Jon stopped filming of the show because TLC didn't remove the exclusivity clause from his contract and he did not get the motorcycle American Chopper built. Jon is so concerned about his kids he looted $235,000 from a bank account meant exclusively for his children and the house they live in. I hope TLC ceases paying him!
The ONLY reason this loser wants his kids off TV is because HE'S not profiting from it anymore! It was just fine when he was getting a hefty paycheck. And he only dates woman with money (I won't go into how stupid they are right now). Sorry buddy but if you expect anyone with even one brain cell to believe you have the kids best interests at heart then you're even more pathetic than I originally thought.

If Jon was given his own show with the kids, he would do it, without any hesitation, so I have to doubt his PUBLIC announcement of guilt!

I don't think Jon has learned from his mistakes at all. If he did, he'd be out seeking a real job (like the computer job he used to do) and not trying to get "entertainment deals". And he didn't seem to mind it when HE was the one on TV. But I wish both parents would go away.
