Video: Kat von D Got Tattoo of Jesse James' Face Pre-Split
The engagement ring may have been temporary, but the tattoo is forever!
Two days after Kat von D and Jesse James announced their split, new video from von D's L.A. Ink has surfaced -- featuring the tattoo artist getting her then-fiance's likeness inked on her body.
"I'm really nervous about giving you your surprise!" von D, 29, tells James, 41, when he shows up at her High Voltage tattoo shop.
As his love shows him the in-progress ink (replicating his fifth grade school picture), the heavily-tattooed biker James has a quick response: "You're crazy!" Later, though, he eases up, and appreciate's von D's gesture. "I love it -- I love you," he coos.
Von D is relieved to gain his approval. "I thought you were going to tell me you were breaking up with me," she joked when he initially fell silent.

Engaged since January, von D and James first stepped out as a couple in August 2010: making out at a Las Vegas museum exhibit and then holding hands in Fredericksburg, Texas.
Less than a year later, the couple broke off their engagement. "I am no longer w Jesse, and out of respect for him, his family and myself, thats all the info I'd like to share. Thanks for respecting that," von D (real name: Katherine von Drachenberg) blogged on Monday.

Oh, wow. This completely made my day. Such morons. Does this girl always sound so obnoxious? I've never seen her show or heard her speak until now and I can't believe she actually has her own TV show. She sounds like a man, and speaks and acts like a 12 year old. Though, he's pretty much the same so maybe that's what they had in common?
I think it's safe to say that it's no coincidence that two days after announcing their breakup, a video of the two of them on her show (which is starting a day later!!) 'surfaces'. Love L.A. Ink and Kat's work, but this is just silly
ok I disagree with some of the comments. It is the person decision getting the tattoo as to what they want. I have my husbands name on me twice because he has made such a impact on my life. Also TATTOOS are not trashy and you really shouldnt judge people that have them. most of my tattoos are in memory of my only two sons I lost in a car wreck along with my brother. What is Kat so stupid for believeing that there is love out there and just maybe she will find it? You people really need to chill out and dont judge people unless you are ready to be judged!
