Kat von D Got Tattoo of Jesse James' Face Pre-Split
The engagement ring may have been temporary, but the tattoo is forever!
Two days after Kat von D and Jesse James announced their split, new video from von D's L.A. Ink has surfaced -- featuring the tattoo artist getting her then-fiance's likeness inked on her body.
"I'm really nervous about giving you your surprise!" von D, 29, tells James, 41, when he shows up at her High Voltage tattoo shop.
As his love shows him the in-progress ink (replicating his fifth grade school picture), the heavily-tattooed biker James has a quick response: "You're crazy!" Later, though, he eases up, and appreciate's von D's gesture. "I love it -- I love you," he coos.
Von D is relieved to gain his approval. "I thought you were going to tell me you were breaking up with me," she joked when he initially fell silent.

Engaged since January, von D and James first stepped out as a couple in August 2010: making out at a Las Vegas museum exhibit and then holding hands in Fredericksburg, Texas.
Less than a year later, the couple broke off their engagement. "I am no longer w Jesse, and out of respect for him, his family and myself, thats all the info I'd like to share. Thanks for respecting that," von D (real name: Katherine von Drachenberg) blogged on Monday.
