Kendall Jenner Turns 16!

Things aren't all doom and gloom in the Kardashian family!
Thursday is Kendall Jenner's 16th birthday! While her distraught sister, divorcee-to-be Kim Kardashian, bailed on the rest of her promotional Australian tour, Kendall celebrated her special day in L.A. with her family -- and hoped for a car!

"Every teenager wants a car when they turn 16 because it gives them that sense of freedom," Kris Jenner told E! News recently. "Kendall has to ask to be driven everywhere and her school's kind of far away from where we live so I think it would be a good thing for Kendall to have some wheels. So it just depends. She's such a great kid."

Kris, 55, told E! News that Kendall and her famous sisters are currently in the midst of planning her Sweet 16 Birthday Bash, which will air in a special on E! A source tells Us the special will include Kendall shopping for a car -- and getting a belly button ring or tattoo! "They are trying to like up Nicki Minaj or Kanye West to perform," adds a source.
But her mom clarified: "She's not a partyzilla. Her mother is though. I wanted this big party for Kendall and she was like, 'Mom, calm down.'"

Khloe Kardashian tweeted "Happy Birthday" to her kid sister Thursday morning, adding, "I love you more than you know!"
Rob Kardashan wrote that he "[couldn't] believe [his] little sis is 16," while mom Kris pleaded: "Promise me you won't grow up too fast!"

12Why does everything these people do have to be televised ? Can't you just have a simple 16th Birthday Party with family and friends, and then they are still planning it~ Her Birthday was yesterday and the party will be like a month from now !!!
A tattoo @ 16. That's crazy & wrong. A belly ring's ok. No 16 yrd old should be getting a tattoo. As for them airing her birthday on tv. Anyway for them to make money the Kardashians will do. This is silly, crazy & wrong. They are a fame. money hungry family. Shame on them.

it's strange that mom is the one that wants to party...not a good sign.
if they're smart, they won't give her a car till she's older and proves responsibility. However, the Kardashians aren't known for being smart. I didn't get my 1st car till I was 19, when I was working.
