Another sister act? Not so fast! Rumors circulated online this week that Kathy Hilton had been approached to join the cast of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills in Season 6, but her half-sister and current cast member Kyle Richards is here to set the record straight.
On Saturday, June 20, Richards, 46, shut down the chatter about Hilton, 56, telling Access Hollywood, "No, that's a rumor! The lies are crazy! I heard that my sister is joining. I heard I was fired and begging for my job. I heard somebody else was joining."
Indeed, speculation about the new cast has been rampant in recent weeks. As Us Weekly previously confirmed, Kyle's other sister and fellow RHOBH star Kim Richards will not be returning to the show next season, in large part due to her ongoing struggle with sobriety, which led to a high-profile arrest for public intoxication in April.
Veteran Housewife Brandi Glanville is also exiting the Bravo franchise, sources confirmed to Us. That leaves two spots open for new blood. "You'll know soon — very soon," Kyle told Access Hollywood of the cast roster.
As for the rumor about her eldest sister, mom to heiresses Paris and Nicky Hilton? Kyle has no idea how it started. "Every time I'm like, 'What is this? Where do they come from?'" she said. "They say, 'Where there's smoke, there's fire.' There's no smoke even. There's nothing! I don't know where they come up with these things."
