What do you get when you combine art and pop music? Lady Gaga's racy new ARTPOP album cover! The 27-year-old "Applause" singer released the official cover image for her upcoming third studio album.

"FULL ARTPOP ALBUM COVER.'One second I'm a Koons, then suddenly the Koons is me!' #ApplauseJeffKoons," she captioned the photo on Twitter Monday, Oct. 7, crediting iconic American artist Jeff Koons for his design.

On the cover, Gaga poses naked with a big blue ball between her legs and her hands holding her breasts with her hands -- surrounded by kaleidoscopic images of Botticelli's Birth of Venus. Keeping with Koons' style, the cover almost looks like a CGI rendering of Gaga.

Gaga had a lot of anxiety about releasing the cover art to her fans. "I'm nervous and excited to share something that's such a piece of my heart," she tweeted Monday. "Something I cherish deeply. A real depiction of my mind through his."

Gaga teased her fans by having them get #iHeartARTPOP trending on Twitter first before revealing the cover, but the tactic seemed to only make her more anxious. "I'll be in the bathroom throwing up #iHeartPanicAttack #WheresMyInhaler," she wrote. "Full fetal position does anyone else hear the screams in my head #iHeartARTPOP."

A pure and genuine collaborator."
