Lisa Vanderpump, Wynonna Judd and Kellie Pickler are no strangers to sequins, but the trio take things to a whole new level in the first official promo pictures for the sixteenth season of ABC's Dancing With the Stars.
Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Vanderpump, 52, rocks a strapless gown and matching heels in her signature color, pink. The Bravo reality star will compete with new pro Gleb Savchenko. "He's going to have to carry me around the dance floor," Vanderpump jokes in a behind-the-scenes video. "I'm going to give it my best shot, but I need a good teacher. He's easy on the eyes, so it's going to be a little easier.
Judd, meanwhile, selected a more demure look, opting for a pewter long-sleeved, floor-length dress. The country music legend is paired with pro Tony Dovolani, who won his first Mirror Ball trophy during the All-Stars season in 2012. "I picked him before we even met," the 48-year-old said of Dovolani, whose previous partners include reality stars Melissa Rycroft, Audrina Patridge and Kate Gosselin. "I said, 'I just have a feeling. I said I will do Dancing With the Stars if I can dance with Tony,' and so I got my wish."
Pickler, who is growing her hair out after shaving her head to support a friend stricken with breast cancer, rocks a strapless aqua gown with crystal embellishments. "We want people to underestimate us, so that way they're not riding on our coattails," the 26-year-old said of competing with pro and three-time champ Derek Hough. "I've never ballroom danced before. . . We're very serious about this competition, because we're going to take that shiny ball back to Nashville, Tennessee."
The trio's competitors were revealed on Good Morning America Feb. 26: boxer Victor Ortiz, Olympic gymnast Aly Raisman, actor D.L. Hughley, Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Jacoby Jones, Disney Channel star Zendaya Coleman, comedian Andy Dick, Olympic figure skater Dorothy Hamill and actor Ingo Rademacher. The final contestant will be revealed before the new season begins Monday, March 18.
