Netflix New Releases Arriving July 2016: ‘Mean Girls,’ ‘BoJack Horseman’ Season 3

Where we’re going, we don’t need DVDs! Back to the Future, the classic 1985 time-travel comedy starring Michael J. Fox as vest enthusiast Marty McFly, is among the wide array of film and TV arrivals to Netflix in July.

Indeed, this is a good month for fans of 1980s blockbuster franchises, as the Back to the Future trilogy, the two Beverly Hills Cop films and all four Lethal Weapon flicks will be available for streaming on Friday, July 1.

Also available July 1 will be 2004’s beloved Mean Girls, which solidified Lindsay Lohan‘s stardom and introduced fetch into the lexicon. Plus, the Oscar-nominated financial drama The Big Short debuts Wednesday, July 6.

Among the month’s notable TV selections are The Shannara Chronicles season 1 and Between season 2, both premiering July 1, and BoJack Horseman season 3, launching Friday, July 22. Between, a post-apocalyptic drama starring Jennette McCurdy, and BoJack, an animated series featuring Will Arnett‘s voice, are both exclusive to Netflix in the U.S.
