On Thursday's Real Housewives of New York reunion special (part three), former BFFs Jill Zarin and Bethenny Frankel appeared to let bygones be bygones. Although their friendship went down in flames over the past season, a contrite Zarin asked Frankel for a hug.
Frankel obliged, and the two women, both teary-eyed, embraced.
But despite that touching moment, the war isn't over yet, says fellow housewife Sonja Morgan.
"I don't know that they made up at all," Morgan told UsMagazine.com at Henry Buhl's Black and White Ball for A.C.E. in New York on Thursday. "There was a moment of truce, and we're going to have to see where it goes from there."
Indeed, Frankel herself recently told UsMagazine.com that relations with Zarin remain strained. "Jill has never reached out to me that she’s not tweeted or Facebooked about it," Zarin said during a recent visit to Us Weekly's NYC offices. "She did a blind item on Twitter that said, what do you do when you try to reach out for a friend that won’t reach out to you..That should be a private moment. She has left me a couple of messages — maybe one message."
New mom Frankel added, "I'm not saying she hasn’t tried, she definitely has, and I do think there is some sincerity there. Right now, I just have such great things going on. I'm very big about good energy–and things are good, I don't want to muck it up, I don't want to go back and take up the skeleton with Jill right now."
